Alarm Unit
The Ostara alarm unit is the central hub for the equipment that we place in your home. It connects you to our 24-hour response and support centre.
What does it look like?
The unit is small rectangular box with 3 buttons on one side and an inbuilt microphone on the other. The sleek design allows for the alarm box to be placed either on counter tops or out of the way.
How does it work?
The unit is plugged into a power socket and the home telephone. This allows us to link our equipment and systems to your home meaning we can contact you instantly. When a fall detector or pendant is activated, it is through this unit that we are notified, sending a message to our response centre and from there we will speak to you through your unit.
Who is it suitable for?
It is an essential piece of equipment for all of our customers because this is the device that connects Ostara to you.

If you don’t have a power socket near a phone cable, we are able to offer an alarm unit that uses 3G mobile software to connect your home to us.
