Fall Detector
The fall detector is a small piece of Ostara equipment that allows you to relax in your home, safe in the knowledge that if anything were to go wrong, we’d be there to help no matter the time of day.
What does it look like?
It’s a small discrete black device in the shape of rectangle with a small grey button in the centre of it. It can be worn in multiple places depending on what you’re comfortable with, either on your wrist, around your neck or waist.
How does it work?
The fall detector is able to monitor your movements and will alert us if one of three situations occur:
- There is a sudden downward movement
- An impact
- A person lying motionless
The detector is also attached with a manual care alarm meaning if you fall and are conscious, you can press the button to alert us.
Who is it suitable for?
The fall detector is best suited for those who worry about staying on their feet. Anyone who’s at risk of falling or has previously fallen should consider this device as it offers an extra level of security and safety to those who wear it but also to their family members.

It’s splash proof meaning you can wear it in the kitchen and the bathroom without having to take it off.
